Jasmine Burke locked into her calling in Marietta High School's Upsatge Risk drama club. Incorporating the rigorous musical theater training in her pageant performances, while breaking into film being a background talent before graduation.
Jasmine returned to her first love ... acting. Starting from ground zero performing in local theatre, making her film debut in a low budget, no pay, indie "16 Hours". Led the determined young talent to catching the eye of Tyler Perry Studios. Making her television debut in Meet The Browns. Inspired by Mr.Perry's self achieved success.
Breaking out in Mississippi Damed (Netflix), The Secret Life of Bees (Fox Searcight), Let It Shine (Disney), Ride Along (Universal), Vampire Diaries (CW), Big Momma's House: Like Father, Like Son (New Regency), Drumline: A New Beat (VH1), Love Is _ (OWN), Star (Fox), to name a few.
Winning awards, 2015 Georgia Entertainment Gala's "People to watch in the GA entertainment industry" award alongside former Tyler Perry Studios President Ozzie Areu, Rolling Out Magazine's 2016 Top Women in Atlanta, featured in People Magazine. The Leading Lady roles emerged forging Jasmine's ability to make a powerful impact on audiences in the #1 rated Saints & Sinners (Bounce), and feature films Angrily Ever After (BET), and Christmas Holidate (AllBlk).
Shattering stereotypes for young women of color starring in, directing, writing Oscar short listed and network features "Shamed" (AllBlk), "Rumors Salon" (Impact Network), "Let Us Make Eve" (AllBlk). Further defining her dynamic filmmaking ability to shape culturally liberating stories.
